About Us

Welcome to the home of Sheepadoodles of Falconwood, formerly Serendipidoodles.  While the name has changed, everything else remains the same, the same family, the same values, and the same unwavering commitment to raising exceptional dogs.

Our dogs are our world. They are not just part of our lives they are our family. And it’s that connection that shapes everything we do.

We are deeply passionate about breeding dogs that are not only beautiful, but correct, healthy and thoughtfully bred. All of our dogs are DNA tested and clear, and only those with outstanding temperaments and sound structure are considered for our program. Aggression has no place here  stability and nature are everything.

All dogs are health and DNA tested and hip and elbow scored as soon as they are of age, and we will never move forward with a dog unless they meet the high standards we have set for our program.  A bad score will not be ignored because a dog is stunningly beautiful.

You are invited to meet us and our dogs here on our hobby farm, and see for yourself how they are raised.  We believe in full transparency and are proud of everything we do and every pup we welcome to the world.

Falconwood is a 140 year old Farmhouse nestled on 54 beautiful acres in the Tarlo region of New South Wales, Falconwood is more than where we breed Sheepadoodles, it’s our family home. It’s where we are raising our children, caring for the animals we love, and welcoming new generations of puppies into the world.

Our dogs don’t live in kennels, cages or runs. They live in our home, with their own bedroom complete with bunk beds, and they’re always welcome to curl up on the end of our beds if they choose. This is the only life they have ever known.

To us, our dogs are family. They share our daily lives, join us on adventures, watch television with us in the evenings, greet visitors at the front gate, and are part of almost everything we do. We believe every breeding dog deserves to live exactly as a loved family companion should.

Life at Falconwood extends well beyond our dogs. Our farm is home to alpacas, cows, horses, a donkey, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl and plenty of other much-loved animals. We simply adore baby animals, so most years you’ll also find a few baby goats or calves being hand-raised around the farm. Watching new life arrive is one of our favourite parts of country living, and our puppies grow up experiencing those everyday moments alongside us.

From the day they are born, our puppies are raised as part of everyday family life. They hear vacuum cleaners, washing machines, visitors arriving, children laughing, tractors working, birds calling and farm animals going about their day. They splash in the dam, explore safely, meet animals of every size and gradually experience the world through carefully planned enrichment that helps build confidence, resilience and calm, adaptable temperaments.

How our Journey to breeding began

Our journey with Sheepadoodles began in 2018 when we joined a waiting list for our very first puppy. In 2020 we welcomed Torvi into our family, and from the moment she arrived we completely fell in love with the breed. Her intelligence, loyalty, gentle nature and incredible connection with people were unlike anything we had experienced before. Like so many Sheepadoodle owners, we quickly discovered that one is rarely enough.

Originally, breeding was never part of the plan.

In 2022 we tried to find another Sheepadoodle as company for Torvi and couldn't find a breeder we were happy with so we decided it would be wonderful for our children to experience the miracle of raising one litter of puppies. We thought it would be a once-in-a-lifetime family experience. The moment our very first puppy took its first breath, everything changed.

That single litter sparked a passion we never expected. It inspired us to learn everything we could about ethical breeding, genetics, health testing and puppy development. It also inspired the name Serendipidoodles, because none of it had ever been planned it happened through pure serendipity.

As our knowledge grew, so did our vision. When we moved to our beautiful 1890s farmhouse in August 2023, already named Falconwood, it felt like the perfect opportunity to begin the next chapter. Serendipidoodles became Sheepadoodles of Falconwood, a name that reflects both our home and our commitment to raising exceptional family companions.

How Our Health Testing Program Has Evolved

When Falconwood began, our first litter was intended to be a one-off family experience. We relied on the health testing results that had been provided by the parents’ breeders, believing that was the appropriate thing to do.

As we became more involved in ethical breeding, we continued learning from respected breeders, veterinarians and the latest research. We realised that the breeders we admired most completed their own health testing on every dog they intended to breed from, regardless of previous results supplied by others.

That philosophy made complete sense to us.

If we were going to continue breeding, we wanted every breeding decision to be based on testing we had organised ourselves, understood firsthand and could confidently stand behind.

Today, every breeding dog entering the Falconwood breeding program undergoes comprehensive health screening appropriate to that individual. Depending on the dog, this includes DNA testing, PennHIP, Hip & Elbow VetScoring, specialist eye examinations, cardiac screening and other relevant assessments.

We’re proud that our program today is far more comprehensive than when we began, and we believe ethical breeding means continually learning, improving and raising your own standards.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Choosing a breeder is one of the most important decisions you’ll make before bringing home a puppy.  We believe that decision should never rely solely on beautiful photographs or promises made online.

That’s why we invite families to visit our home whenever possible. We want you to meet our dogs, walk around Falconwood, see where our puppies are born and raised, and experience firsthand how they live every single day.

We’re proud to share the health testing results of our breeding dogs, explain what those results actually mean, and provide our puppy families with copies of the original documentation. We believe transparency builds trust, and we’d much rather answer every question than expect anyone to simply take our word for it.

A Commitment for Life

Our breeding dogs are never viewed simply as breeding dogs.

Many remain with us for life. Others genuinely prefer being the centre of attention in a one-dog household. When that’s in their best interests, they are carefully placed into exceptional forever homes after being desexed. Every Falconwood dog will always have a home with us if they ever need one.

The same lifelong commitment extends to every puppy we breed.

Our puppies leave us at eight weeks of age having known only love, security and human connection from the very beginning. Every family is chosen just as carefully as every breeding dog, because finding the right home matters every bit as much as producing the right puppy.

We don’t breed puppies for everyone.

We breed them for families who will love them as deeply as we do, include them in everyday life, and cherish them as family for the rest of their lives.

If Falconwood feels like the kind of place you’ve been searching for, we’d love to welcome you to our home. Our door is always open.
