The Falconwood Initiative
At Sheepadoodles of Falconwood, we believe the companionship of a dog can make an extraordinary difference in someone’s life.
Each year, through The Falconwood Initiative, we aim to provide one carefully selected Sheepadoodle puppy to a family with additional needs.
Falconwood gifts the puppy at no purchase cost to the family and covers the cost of flying the puppy to its professional training facility. The selected family is responsible only for the costs associated with their puppy’s training.
Our hope is to help make a specially trained companion more accessible to a family who could truly benefit from one.

Our Best Friends in Training Litter
From our Best Friends in Training litter, we will gifted one very special puppy named L🧡VE to a family who has two darling special needs family members.
Love was placed at no charge. Her family’s only financial responsibility was the cost of her training at Therapy & Support Animals Australia.
She went directly from us into training with Therapy and Support Animals Australia and completed her full Stay & Train Puppy Program.
We also covered the transport from NSW to Queensland where the training is based.
Throughout the program, Loves family received weekly videos and updates, so they could follow their puppy’s journey from the very beginning. Once training is complete, the family arranged collection themselves. They also received full written and video resources so they feel confident continuing the puppy’s cues, routines, and foundations at home.
Doing it this way meant the family isn’t just receiving a puppy. They are receiving a calm, confident best friend who has been set up properly from the start. It also helps the puppy transition into family life smoothly and, where suitable, allows for future therapy style pathways.
We truly believe this approach allows our gift to be placed where it will matter most. Into training, long term support, and the best possible chance of success for both the puppy and the family. We also hope it eases the pressure of needing to fund both training and the purchase of a quality puppy at the same time.
This puppy will be raised, trained, and placed with the same care, intention, and ongoing support as every Falconwood pup.
The pup is not a certified service or assistance dog, but rather a companion with a purpose. A pup raised with empathy, stability, and heart, for a family who truly needs that presence. The family cam then opt later to do the courses toward certification.
When Otis meet Luna
Luna had changed Otis’s life furever ♥️
When Stella’s pups were born we decided to give away a pup to a family in need of a friend. After reading some amazing, sad and inspiring stories we decided that Otis was that special someone. We waited until the pups were old enough to be able to ensure an extra calm and loving personality to be able to become a best friend for Otis. When Otis was 3, he was diagnosed with Severe Verbal Dyspraxia and Global Development Delay. At 5 years old, he was diagnosed with Autism and then recently with ADHD. All of this affects him daily with communication, social situations and other everyday life skills that we can do so easily but can be very difficult for Otie.
He doesn’t let any of these labels define him, he works hard at all his therapies, he doesn’t like to give up and even though he has faced some bullying over the years that has brought him to tears, he still finds love in his heart and is a really kind boy.
Otis loves all the dogs his neighbourhood, often asking if he can look after them and asks to pat any dogs we come across day to day. Watch the most beautiful video below of when they met. Our hearts are full being able to make this happen.
