Falconwood Cove - Sheepadoodle (Guardian Home)

Cove

Gender:
female
Coat:
Wavy Fleece Coat
DOB:

Our pretty girl Cove also affectionately known as Covalicious lives with her guardian family in ACT Australia, she will have her first litter for us in 2027.  Cove has the gentle and fun personality of her mummy Sorren.  She is very sweet and reminds us so much of her fun and happy daddy Maverick.  Her stunning floofy coat and big brown eyes just make you want to squeeze her.

Cove loves to come to our farm on holidays she sees us very much as a home away from home and thats exactly how we love it.  Our guardian girls are loved by us as much as those that live in our home.  They must live close enough that we can have them here often so that they feel very much a part of our family and they are comfortable when they come home to have pups.  We are very proud to announce that Cove has passed her final hip and elbow assessments with flying colours and we hope to see her first litter in 2027.  Cove is a product of the careful breeding choices we make at Falconwood.

DNA Health Summary

āœ” No disease-causing variants detected for any of the 273 conditions tested.

Hip & Elbow Testing

  • Hip & Elbow VetScore: 4/106 - Plain English Explanation:  A lower score is better. A score of 4/106 is considered an outstanding result.
  • Elbows: 0/0 - Plain English explanation: A score of 0/0 indicates perfect elbows
  • Pennhip score: 0.31 - Plain English Explanation: PennHIP measures hip laxity (looseness). Lower scores indicate more stable hips and a lower lifetime risk of hip arthritis. A score of 0.31 is considered excellent in this breed, reflecting very tight and stable hip joints.

Falconwood’s health testing program has evolved over time as new technologies and research have become available. Earlier dogs may have Hip & Elbow VetScoring or PennHIP, while our more recently tested dogs have completed both assessments. Each test provides different information, and together they help us make informed breeding decisions. To learn more about our testing protocols and why some dogs have different assessments, please visit our Health Testing Explained page.

DNA testing is one part of Falconwood’s comprehensive health screening program. Our breeding dogs also undergo PennHIP, Hip & Elbow VetScoring, and other relevant health assessments to help us make informed breeding decisions.

A copy of each parent dog’s health testing results is included in our puppy owners’ information pack at the time of collection, providing families with complete transparency regarding their puppy’s parents.

To the best of our knowledge, Falconwood is among the very few Sheepadoodle breeders in Australia that undertake this level of comprehensive health testing, and possibly the only breeder to publicly share the health results of our breeding dogs on our website.

We do not publish the original certificates on our website, as they contain personal information, including owner details and other identifying information. Instead, we provide a clear summary of each dog’s results, while the original documentation is available to our puppy families.

We are incredibly proud of the health results achieved by our dogs. At Falconwood, we are committed to continually reviewing new research, embracing advances in health testing, and making thoughtful breeding decisions so that each generation has the opportunity to be healthier than the last.
