Falconwood is excited to announce our planned dual-sired litter from our beautiful Standard Poodle, Daisy-Mae. This carefully planned breeding means the puppies in this litter may have one of two fathers:
- Maverick, our DNA-tested blue merle Standard Poodle, or
- North, our outstanding Old English Sheepdog.
As a result, this litter is expected to include both purebred Standard Poodles and F1 Sheepadoodles, all raised together in exactly the same loving home environment.
Although this is a dual-sired litter, every puppy has only ONE biological father.
Every puppy in this litter will undergo DNA parentage testing to confirm whether Maverick or North is its sire. Results are available before families make their final selections, ensuring complete transparency.
Why a dual-sired litter? A dual-sired litter occurs when a female dog is mated with two different males during the same fertile period. This can occur naturally, or it can be intentionally planned to achieve specific breeding goals.
At Falconwood, this breeding was carefully planned to offer families the opportunity to choose between two exceptional pairings while maintaining our commitment to health, temperament and transparency without asking Daisy-Mae to have two separate litters. In most cases we only ever have two litters with our girls before desexing. Daisy has had a Sheepadoodle litter previously. This is her final litter. Her temperament is so incredible as are her pups that we couldnt resist repeating the breeding to North and to also produce some pure poodles with that same beautiful nature.
