And So The Adventure Begins Litter…They’ll become someone’s shadow, someone’s best friend, someone’s reason to smile after a hard day. They’ll grow up alongside their families, make memories, explore new places and be loved more than they could ever know.

And that is how their name theme came to be…

What We Expect From This Litter

This is a very special litter for us at Falconwood as its our first dual-sired litter, with Daisy bred to both North and Maverick.

Because Daisy is a purebred Standard Poodle, puppies sired by North will be F1 Sheepadoodles (50% Old English Sheepdog and 50% Standard Poodle), while puppies sired by Maverick will be purebred Standard Poodles.

Every puppy will be DNA parentage tested, so there will be no guessing. Families will know exactly who their puppy’s sire is.

Daisy × North - F1 Sheepadoodles

Daisy and North’s puppies will be our classic 50/50 F1 Sheepadoodles. Both parents are large dogs, with Daisy approximately 60 cm and 26 kg and North approximately 61 cm and 35 kg. We expect large Standard Sheepadoodles, generally around 28–35 kg at maturity, although size will naturally vary between individual puppies.

This side of the litter is expected to produce long, furnished coats with a straighter, more traditional Sheepdog-style appearance. Genetically, all Daisy × North puppies are expected to inherit two straight coat alleles, so we are not expecting curly Poodle-style coats from this combination.

We expect black puppies or black with white abstract markings (chest, face paws). Due to the nature of the OES coat the pups may change to blue/silver. OES are born black and slowly transition to blue/silver with white over the first 2 years.

Daisy × Maverick — Standard Poodles

Puppies sired by Maverick will be Standard Poodles. Daisy is approximately 60 cm and 26 kg, while Maverick is 56 cm and 24 kg, so we expect lovely substantial Standards while generally being smaller than the North-sired puppies.

Unlike the Sheepadoodle side of this litter, these puppies can include merle, with approximately half of Maverick’s puppies expected to inherit merle.

Coat texture will also be different. Daisy has two curly coat alleles while Maverick has two curly coat alleles, so their puppies are expected to have 100% curly Poodle coats, as we would expect from a Standard Poodle litter.

One Litter and Two Very Different Possibilities - This is what makes a dual-sired litter so fascinating. Puppies will all share the same beautiful mum and be raised together in exactly the same way, but their genetics can be quite different depending on their sire.

The North-sired puppies will be 50/50 F1 Sheepadoodles with straighter furnished coats, while the Maverick-sired puppies will be Standard Poodles with curly coats and the possibility of merle.

As always, colour and coat are only part of our decision making. Health, temperament and structure come first, and all three parents have been carefully selected with those priorities in mind.

Although this is a dual-sired litter, every puppy has only ONE biological father.

Every puppy in this litter will undergo DNA parentage testing to confirm whether Maverick or North is its sire. Results are available before families make their final selections, ensuring complete transparency. This litter has an expected COI of approx 0%.
