Falconwood Cove & Falconwood North
What We Expect From This Litter
Falconwood Cove × Falconwood North
Cove and North are a pairing we are particularly excited about here at Falconwood. Their puppies will be approximately 62.5% Old English Sheepdog and 37.5% Poodle, bringing together the beautiful traditional Sheepdog appearance we adore with the wonderful qualities of our Sheepadoodles.
We are expecting traditional Old English Sheepdog colours, including black/blue and white, along with parti-patterned puppies. With their higher percentage of Old English Sheepdog, we are hoping for that gorgeous, shaggy Sheepdog appearance, with beautiful furnishings and lovely long coats.
Coat Type & Shedding
One of the things we love about carefully planned Sheepadoodle pairings is that breed percentages alone don’t determine coat type or shedding.
Although these puppies will be predominantly Old English Sheepdog, this doesn’t automatically mean they will have higher-shedding coats. Coat texture, furnishings and shedding are influenced by the individual genes inherited from each parent.
We are hoping for beautiful, long, furnished coats ranging from straighter fleece to soft waves, rather than tight Poodle-style curls.
As always, while we aim to produce low-shedding Sheepadoodles, we never guarantee that any puppy will be completely non-shedding.
Expected Size
We anticipate these puppies will mature into large Standard Sheepadoodles, with the substantial build and beautiful presence of the Old English Sheepdog.
Expected height 58-67cm
Expected weight 28-36kg
Health, Genetics & Temperament
This pairing has been thoughtfully planned to combine the wonderful qualities of both breeds while maintaining a strong focus on health, genetic diversity and temperament.
Cove brings the Poodle ancestry, while North contributes the traditional Old English Sheepdog characteristics we are working towards in our breeding program.
Both dogs have the beautiful, affectionate, people-focused temperaments we value so highly at Falconwood.
As with every Falconwood litter, health and temperament will always come before colour or appearance.
We are incredibly excited to see what these two produce together and look forward to welcoming another beautiful generation of Falconwood Sheepadoodles!
